On November 18, the Northern Virginia Health Policy Forum’s Forum Health Fanatics Team participated in the 7th Annual Run for Shelter, a road race put on by the Carpenter’s Shelter. Thirteen Forum Health Fanatics Team members participated in one of the three races – the Fun Run, the 5k, or the 10k. Participants enjoyed a crisp, breezy, colorful fall morning while participating in the race to end homelessness. Each runner received a race shirt that kept us warm throughout the race and reminded us of how impactful such a small item can make on a cold morning.
The Forum would like to thank all of the participants who joined our team and would also like to thank the Carpenter’s Shelter for putting on such a great event and for all that they do in Alexandria to support the homeless in achieving sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education, and advocacy.
